Sip Story: Foster’s Lager x My Oxford Year

✨MY OXFORD YEAR by Julia Whelan✨

★★★★☆

🍺Drink: Foster’s Lager

    • This is a very difficult recipe… Go buy a can of beer and pour it into your glass of choice 🤣 and try to pour it better than I did so you don’t have so much foam

I chose this drink because it’s exactly what you would drink if you went to any of the pubs that the characters in My Oxford Year frequented. It turns out that Foster’s is the most popular beer of Oxford students!

🌟Review: First of all, I just want to say that I loved getting to read Julia Whelan’s debut novel because she has narrated almost all of the audiobooks I’ve listened to! This book had me in my feels. What I thought was going to be a fun, summery romance quickly turned into a deep, dark, and messy tale. Reminiscent of “Me Before You”, I had similar feelings - and lots of tears. I wish that there was more time to explore the side characters as I loved them all, and feel like they all would have wonderful stories to tell.
